Apps your customers and your team will actually use, scoped and priced before a line of it is built.
For: Businesses with something used every day, not just visited.
Most businesses do not need an app, and we will say so. A website that loads quickly and takes bookings solves the problem for the majority, and it costs a fraction of the price. If that is your situation you will hear it from us on the first call, not after you have paid for discovery.
What tips a project into app territory is how it gets used, not what it can do. Something opened every day rather than read once, something that earns a place on the home screen, something that has to keep working when the signal drops. Logins and accounts on their own are not the line, because a website handles those. It is daily, hands-on use that a website starts fighting.
It gets scoped and priced before anyone builds anything. You will know the number and what it buys before you commit, which is the part of app projects that usually goes wrong.
From £4,500, quoted after discovery. This is our Custom tier.
What you get
Web or mobile, whichever fits
A web app runs in a browser with nothing to install. A mobile app sits on the home screen and works offline. We will tell you which your idea actually needs.
Customer accounts and portals
Logins, saved history, documents, order status. The things that turn a one-off visit into an account somebody comes back to.
Talks to what you already use
Your calendar, your accounting, your payment provider. An app that cannot reach the rest of your tools just moves the admin somewhere else.
Designed to be used, not admired
The same design work as a website, aimed at somebody using it every day rather than reading it once.
Scoped before it is priced
Discovery first, a written scope second, a fixed number third. No day rates, and no estimate that quietly doubles.
Hosted and looked after
Runs on the same infrastructure as our websites, with the care plan covering updates, backups and monitoring.
Discovery
What the app has to do, who uses it, and how they work now. This is also where we tell you if a website would do the job.
Scope and fixed price
A written scope of exactly what is being built, and one price against it. You decide with the number in front of you.
Build in the open
You see it working as it goes, not at the end. Anything that turns out wrong is cheaper to change in week two than week ten.
Launch and look after
Live, monitored and backed up, with the same two people to call when something looks wrong.
Do I actually need an app?
Usually not, and we would rather tell you before you pay us. If your customers mainly need to find you, trust you and get in touch, a website does that better and for far less. An app earns its price when people need accounts, logins or something they use repeatedly.
Web app or mobile app?
A web app runs in the browser, works on everything, and needs no app store. A mobile app installs on the phone, can work offline and can send notifications. Most small businesses are better served by a web app, and we will say which we think you need and why.
How is it priced?
From £4,500, with the real number set after discovery and put in writing before any work starts. Apps vary too much to have a fixed price up front, so we scope first rather than guess.
